Taliban ambush NATO convoy in Karachi

GeoTV

KARACHI: At least three Nato supply trawlers, bound to Qandhar in Afghanistan, were ambushed while three persons were injured during the attack occurred on Northern Bypass near Baldia Town locality on Wednesday midnight; Geo news reported police sources as saying.

According to details, unknown miscreants opened fire and hurled hand grenades on Nato supply trawlers and successfully made their way off from crime scene in the long run.
Unknown miscreants is a Pakistani euphemism for the taliban. This latest attack on NATO convoys shows that the taliban have to ability to strike in the heart of Pakistan. Since Pakistan said it will not initiate any offensives against the taliban at all this year, I guess the taliban will have a free reign to terrorize the country.

Good thing the US just reached an agreement with Kazakhstan for an alternate supply route to Afghanistan.
