Taliban leader, Hakimullah Mehsud, injured in Predator strike

The taliban have confirmed that their leader, Hakimullah Mehsud, has been injured in the latest US Predator drone strike in North Waziristan. Initially the taliban claimed that Mehsud had escaped the strike unharmed but have since admitted that doctors are treating him for injuries sustained in the attack.

Let's hope his injuries are life threatening. CNN

Islamabad, Pakistan (CNN) -- The leader of the Taliban in Pakistan, Hakimullah Mehsud, has been wounded in a suspected U.S. drone strike, intelligence and Taliban sources told CNN Friday.[...]

A Taliban spokesman said that Mehsud had escaped the drone strike unhurt. On Friday, however, Taliban and intelligence sources said doctors were treating Mehsud for injuries he sustained in the drone strike.
