Michelle Obama Tells Huckabee Home Is 'News-Free Zone'

Maybe this is the reason why the President seems so clueless on some everyday issues ?
I understand Family time , but we are talking about the President of the United States.
I would think he would be more on top of things going on here and around the world , but obviously he is a little sheltered from real everyday news stuff .

Foxnews
First lady Michelle Obama said she tries to stay away from news because she wants to formulate her own opinions based on her experiences.

But Obama told Fox News host Mike Huckabee that she's sure this weekend to watch Fox News, a target of criticism from her husband in the past -- Huckabee's interview with Obama airs at 8 p.m. ET Saturday and Sunday.

In the interview, Obama said she reads news clips for the headlines, "but I tend and I try to keep home kind of news-free zone."

That may be difficult since the Obamas share their home with the press most of the time. Even so, Obama said she has had some practice and has learned to leave work at the front door.

But your Husband is the President

"You know, it's sort of like when you work above the shop, you can't just bring work home," she said.

But you live in the White house , and Your Husband is the PRESIDENT .

Instead, she lets the president eat dinner and unwind with his daughters at the end of a long day.

As for the president, his spokesman has told reporters in the past that he tends to stay away from watching the news at night, though he spends a lot of time surfing the political blogs and online news publications.
