Comedy Central to develop Mohammed Jesus Christ cartoon

What hypocrites. Comedy Central is developing a cartoon about Jesus Christ, while at the same time they censor everything that has to do with Mohammed on South Park, even the spoken word Mohammend is off limits for them.

I guess the executives at Comedy Central aren't afraid as much of the radical Christian fundamentalists as they are of the radical islamic fundamentalists.

Here's the money quote from a Comedy Central executive...

"In general, comedy in purist form always makes some people uncomfortable," said Comedy Central's head of original programming Kent Alterman.

BWHAHAHA!!! Where was Alterman two weeks ago when Comedy Central censored half of a South Park episode because they were afraid it would make followers of the ROP 'uncomfortable'.

The Hollywood Reporter

As part of the network's upfront presentation to advertisers (full slate here), the network is set to announce "JC," a half-hour show about Christ wanting to escape the shadow of his "powerful but apathetic father" and live a regular life in New York City.

In the show, God is preoccupied with playing video games while Christ, "the ultimate fish out of water," tries to adjust to life in the big city.

"In general, comedy in purist form always makes some people uncomfortable," said Comedy Central's head of original programming Kent Alterman.

Once again ComCen goes for the low hanging fruit. Situation comedy with JC? How original! How edgy! But then Babtists rarely decapitate the folks who disagree with them.
Someday Comedy Central will actually be funny. We await thet day.
