A source close to the family of the Lockerbie bomber Abdul Baset al Megrahi told Sky News Thursday his death is imminent and every day is "expected to be his last."
Suffering from prostate cancer, the Libyan's health has rapidly deteriorated -- and his relatives said he has been in a coma and on life support for around a week.
Al Megrahi -- who was convicted of killing 270 people by bombing a Pan Am jet in 1988 -- has been unable to walk for a number of weeks and is not expected to recover.

Canadian Fighter Jets Intercept Russian Bombers
Nothing new , Russia does this crap all the Time .
Not sure How big the Canadian Air Force is , and if they even have bombers , but I wonder how many times the U.S. Buzzes Russian Airspace ?
AOLnews
(Aug. 25) -- Canadian fighter jets turned away two Russian bombers that were heading for Canadian airspace, a government spokesman said today.
Two Canadian CF-18s shadowed the Russian bombers that were detected to the north of Canada on Tuesday. The planes flew within 30 nautical miles of Canada's airspace before the Russians flew away, according to Dimitri Soudas, a spokesman for Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
"Thanks to the rapid response of the Canadian Forces, at no time did the Russian aircraft enter sovereign Canadian airspace," Soudas said, according to The Associated Press.
Fighter jets from Canada and the United States have intercepted between 12 and 18 Russian bombers a year since 2007, according to The Calgary Sun.
