So who the hell has the U.S. been talking to?
And why the hell is the Obummer administration toying with the idea of releasing Taliban commanders and other Taliban rejects from Gitmo?
Some more Islamic Appeasement from the dipshits in charge I guess.

Prominent Al Qaeda and Afghan Taliban fighters asked Pakistani militants in a pair of rare meetings to set aside their differences and step up support for the battle against U.S.-led forces in Afghanistan, militant commanders said Monday.
The meetings were held in Pakistan's tribal region in November and December at the request of the Afghan Taliban's leadership council. They could indicate the militants are struggling in Afghanistan, or conversely, that they want to make sure they hit U.S. forces hard as the Americans accelerate their withdrawal this year. That could give the Taliban additional leverage in any peace negotiations.
"For God's sake, forget all your differences and give us fighters to boost the battle against America in Afghanistan," senior Al Qaedacommander Abu Yahya al-Libi told Pakistani fighters at a meeting on Dec. 11, according to a militant who attended.

Officials chase unconfirmed al-Qaida bomb threat
It is known that Al Qaeda and others like them would love to attack the U.S. again, especially on the Anniversary of 9/11.
I personally would not take any threat at this time lightly.
All I have to say is if we are attacked again at this time, we take out these assholes once and for all, no pussy footin around, none of this Bullshit of remaining calm and not jumping to conclusions, lets go fucking berzerk on all these assholes once and for all.
If nothing happens we can keep pestering them as we have been doing.
(AP) WASHINGTON — Just days before the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, U.S. counterterrorism officials were chasing a credible but unconfirmed al-Qaida threat to use a car bomb on bridges or tunnels in New York City or Washington. It was the first "active plot" timed to coincide with the somber commemoration of the terror group's 9/11 attacks a decade ago that killed nearly 3,000 people.
Counterterrorism officials were investigating the threat throughout the night and into Friday, as police in New York and Washington said they would increase their already stepped-up staffing levels in light of the recent intelligence.
Law enforcement officials were pursuing three people who may be traveling to the U.S. or who have recently entered the country, based on the detailed information received by the U.S. intelligence community late Wednesday, officials said. The intelligence suggested that al-Qaida planned to car bomb one of the two cities that were hit 10 years ago.

Pakistan Army Says It Holds Al-Qaeda Global Operations Chief
If true this will be another nail in Al Qaedas latest coffin.
It is great seeing all the ring leaders killed or at least arrested.
(Bloomberg)
-- Pakistan said it arrested al-Qaeda’s top leader for international operations with American help, sounding a conciliatory tone on bilateral ties strained by the U.S. killing of Osama bin Laden in May.
Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence Directorate captured Younis Al-Mauritani and al-Qaeda operatives Abdul Ghaffar al- Shami and Messara al-Shami in the city of Quetta, the military’s press office said yesterday in an e-mailed statement. The arrests are part of “a strong, historic intelligence relationship” between both countries, the statement said.
The announcement came two weeks after U.S. officials said an American missile killed Atiyah Abd al-Rahman, who they said became al-Qaeda’s deputy leader following the killing of bin Laden by Navy Seals in Pakistan. The unilateral raid exacerbated tensions, as Pakistan expelled more than 100 American military personnel and the U.S. withheld $800 million in military aid.

Key Al-Qaida Operative Killed
After a long week of work and school, what awesome news to wake up to today.
Al Qaidas newest number one has been exterminated by way of Predator Drone, it is only fitting for the POS.
So now I'm sure that Ayman Zawahiri will be the #1 guy again for a bit, if we can only now focus on giving him a nice well deserved Hellfire Enema as well.

U.S. officials say that a CIA drone strike Aug. 22 killed al-Qaida's freshly minted second-in-command. Atiyah al-Rahman was a Libyan who was a key Osama bin Laden associate for decades.
Al-Rahman was killed in Waziristan, Pakistan, officials say, and they seem fairly confident they got their man. There are often reports about drone strikes against core al-Qaida leaders, but the terrorists end up surfacing later. That has happened in al-Rahman's case too, but this time U.S. officials seemed to be pretty sure. They wouldn't say whether they had DNA evidence that last week's attack actually killed him.
Al-Rahman isn't a household name, but he was a key al-Qaida operator. He has been at bin Laden's side since he was a teenager. He fought against the Soviets in Afghanistan. After the death of bin Laden in May, Ayman al-Zawahiri became the group's number one man, and al-Rahman emerged as his deputy.
Officials say al-Rahman figured prominently in the trove of documents Navy SEALs found in the bin Laden compound in Pakistan in May. The documents indicated that al-Rahman was the man bin Laden relied on to get messages to other al-Qaida leaders, and al-Rahman also acted as liaison with other al-Qaida affiliates.
