This time in Iraq, a Muslim Suicide Bomber sploded himself up to show everyone how serious he was about his Cause.

(Reuters) - A suicide bomber wearing a vest filled with explosives attacked Iraqi police recruits on Tuesday in former dictator Saddam Hussein's hometown of Tikrit, killing at least 42 and wounding over 100, officials said.
Ahmed Abdul-Jabbar, deputy governor of Salahuddin province, said the attack took place outside a police recruiting center where Iraqi men were lining up hoping to get a job.
"Who else would it be but al Qaeda, who keep on slaughtering us," said Abdul-Jabbar. "They are the terrorists."
Abdul-Jabbar put the death toll at 42. Raed Ibrahim, head of the health department in the province, said 45 were killed and more than 150 wounded, while Interior Ministry sources in Baghdad said 50 people had died.

(Reuters) - Prince Alireza Pahlavi, younger son of the late Shah of Iran, committed suicide on Tuesday in Boston, according to his brother.
"It is with immense grief that we would like to inform our compatriots of the passing away of Prince Alireza Pahlavi," Reza Pahlavi, the Shah's older son, said on his website, rezapahlavi.org.
Pahlavi, 44, took his life early on Tuesday at his Boston home "plunging his family and friends into great sorrow," the note said.
It said he struggled for years to overcome depression over the fate of Iran and the loss of his father and sister.

SHENZHEN, China - Following a string of suicides at its Chinese factories, Foxconn Technology Group raised workers' wages and installed safety nets on buildings to catch would-be jumpers. Now the often secretive manufacturer of the iPhone and other electronics is holding rallies for its workers to raise morale at the heavily regimented factories.
The outreach to workers shows how Foxconn has been shaken by the suicides and the bad press they have attracted to the normally publicity shy company. The latest suicide — the 12th this year — occurred August 4 when a 22-year-old woman jumped from her factory dormitory in eastern Jiangsu province.

QURGHONTEPPA, Tajikistan -- A Tajik official says the high rate of self-immolation among women in southern Tajikistan is related in most cases to domestic violence perpetrated by men, RFE/RL's Tajik Service reports.
Suhrob Salomov, an Interior Ministry official in Khatlon Province, told RFE/RL that 108 cases of suicide and attempted suicide by women have been recorded in the province in 2010. He said 52 people have died as a result and tens of others have been injured.
Salomov added that at least 50 percent of the known cases of attempted suicide were related to domestic violence and violence against women.
In the latest incident, a woman in Khatlon Province, Hikoyet Faqirova, set herself and her children on fire on August 5. The three children died and Faqirova is in serious condition in a hospital with severe burns on 25 percent of her body.
Faqirova reportedly poured gasoline over herself and the children -- aged three, five, and eight years old -- after suspecting her husband of having an affair.
