Yeah I Know, it is not a big deal, But do you Know that the Cadmium and lead will leach through the Cheap Glasses, And if your kids hands are a little wet from say sweating, the Lead and Cadmium will leach into their skin also. Building up in their bodies and staying with them forever.

Drinking glasses depicting comic book and movie characters such as Superman, Wonder Woman and the Tin Man from "The Wizard of Oz" exceed federal limits for lead in children's products by up to 1,000 times, according to laboratory testing commissioned by The Associated Press.
The decorative enamel on the superhero and Oz sets -- made in China and purchased at a Warner Brothers Studios store in Burbank -- contained between 16 percent and 30.2 percent lead. The federal limit on children's products is 0.03 percent.
The same glasses also contained relatively high levels of the even-more-dangerous cadmium, though there are no federal limits on that toxic metal in design surfaces.
And that goes to show you how much our idiotic Government cares, It is alright for our kinds to touch the #7 most toxic substance according to the CDC.

Los Angeles School Built on Toxic Site Named After Al Gore
Absolutely Hilarious .
Al Gore has his name on a School that is on top of a Contaminated soil Site !

The $75.5 million facility was named after Gore, who has made bringing awareness to climate change a personal cause since leaving office, and environmental author Rachel Carson. The former vice president was never informed the school would bear his name.
According to the Times , the soil underneath the building used to hold more than a dozen storage tanks. An environmental coalition complained that the school was an "affront" to its namesakes.
Crews worked to mitigate the damage from the tanks by replacing the toxic soil with clean soil -- two 3,800-square-foot plots of it. But the school is also near underground tanks from a nearby gas station, near an oil well, above an oil field and on top of contaminated groundwater.
School officials, however, say those potential hazards pose no risks and that they will continue to monitor for any changes. Top school safety officer John Sterritt told the Times "there's no doubt in my mind that the site is safe" after a $4 million cleanup.

McDonald's recalls 12 mln Shrek-themed glasses

The recall doesn’t affect the U.K., the company’s British press office said in an e-mailed statement today. McDonald’s is not running the promotion in Asia, its China office said in an e-mailed reply to Bloomberg questions.
First guess , they are made in China , The company Arc International of Millville, N.J , Is an American Company , and probably were not aware that their Chinese goods were being contaminated with Cadmium .
If they were made in China , then the upper quote tells a lot to my Theory that China is trying to poison us from the Inside out ! Literally .

McDonald's outlets are selling the glasses for about $2 each as part of a promotion for the new movie "Shrek Forever After," the reports say. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall early Friday and warned consumers to stop using the glasses, the reports say. The Associated Press reported that the glasses were produced by Arc International of Millville, N.J. Cadmium, which the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration says on its website is extremely toxic, is used in producing paint and coatings, batteries and other products.
