Obama to spend Labor Day at Detroit AFL-CIO rally

In Detroit on Monday, Obama was also expected to tout his efforts to save the auto industry and millions of jobs by providing federal bailouts in 2009 for General Motors Corp. and Chrysler Group LLC. The AFL-CIO rally was being held in a GM parking lot.

Not a Biased crowd in the least.

Today is the Detroit Labor Day Parade, it is strictly a Union thing you know because only the Unions are allowed to have the parade in downtown.
40,000 union members will be in the parade.

The Obamasiah will speak at the end of the parade when the Union schleps are whipped into a frenzy from their own presence, the speech will go a little like this...

I am Great for you, you are great for me, suckle my testes and I will suckle yours, blah blah blah blah blah, just remember I am great.

Same old bullshit different parade.

President Barack Obama is celebrating Labor Day in Detroit, previewing his ideas for job creation and economic growth at a rally with thousands of supportive labor union members.
Obama's speech at an annual event sponsored by the Metropolitan Detroit AFL-CIO was serving as a dress rehearsal for the jobs address he'll deliver to a joint session of Congress on Thursday night.
The president's appearance follows last Friday's dismal jobs report, which showed that employers added no jobs in August. It was the first time since 1945 that the government reported a net job change of zero. The unemployment rate, meanwhile, held steady at 9.1 percent.
The disappointing report sparked new fears of a second recession and injected fresh urgency into efforts by Obama to help get millions of unemployed people back into the labor market — and help improve his chances of getting re-elected.

Unions have ass's Handed to them Again in Wisconsin.

As the Unions and the Libtards of Wisconsin thought they had the GOP by the Balls on this one, they found out real quick that their ass's were being served to them on a silver platter.

Looks like they might need to come to terms with being the Minority for awhile.

A devastating blow

Republicans held onto control of the Wisconsin Senate on Tuesday, beating back four Democratic challengers in a recall election despite an intense political backlash against GOP support for Gov. Scott Walker's effort to curb public employees' union rights.

Fueled by millions of dollars from national labor groups, the attempt to remove GOP incumbents served as both a referendum on Walker's conservative revolution and could provide a new gauge of the public mood less than a year after Republicans made sweeping gains in this state and many others.

Two Democratic incumbents face recalls next week, but even if Democrats win those they will still be in the minority.

Turnout was strong in the morning and steady in the afternoon in communities such as Whitefish Bay, Menomonee Falls and Shorewood, where Sen. Alberta Darling was one of the four Republicans to hold onto her seat.

Hello Wisconsin.

Normal people 1, unions and idjits 0.
I expect a huge backlash from this ruling even though it came from the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
the Unions, the Teachers, the derelicts, are most likely going into meltdown mode and are working on their next unruly protests and public political movement.

Wisconsin's highest court has ruled that a controversial measure curbing the collective bargaining rights of public workers in the state can take effect.

The supreme court on Tuesday overturned a lower court ruling that Republican legislators violated the state's open meetings law when they passed the measure in March.

The law eliminates most collective bargaining rights for public workers and requires them to pay more for pensions and health coverage. It prompted a national debate over unions.

It was passed by the Republican-controlled legislature and signed by the governor, Scott Walker, in March despite the largest public protests in Madison since the Vietnam war.

In May a circuit court judge hearing one of several challenges against the measure voided it, accepting the argument that Republican legislators had violated Wisconsin's strict open meetings law.

But in its ruling on Tuesday the supreme court said the judge had overstepped her authority and violated the separation of powers in the state constitution.

Wisconsin Senate GOP Votes to Strip State Workers of Collective Bargaining Rights

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Being a former Union worker, I have no sympathy for any of the Wisconsin protesters, Unions are one of the most corrupt institutions in America; where else can you have a job you have to pay for?

Union dues must be paid every month(If you don't they send you nice little letters informing you to do so, Or else) A weekly working dues is taken out of your check, you do not have a choice in this either, it is part of your package, and I'm not sure of some other Unions but the Carpenters Union makes you pay into an Apprenticeship program, for some of the biggest rejects to go to school for free And attempt to learn a skill(then you have to work with their pathetic ass's in the field and retrain them to actually know how to work, oh the pain).

It is time the Unions get a little dose of welcome to the Real world!

Bypassing Democrats hiding out in Illinois, Wisconsin Senate Republicans voted Wednesday night to strip state workers of their collective bargaining rights.

Republicans voted 18-1 to pass the stripped-down budget bill in a hastily arranged meeting. None of the Senate Democrats were present.

The State Assembly is expected to vote on the bill Thursday.

All 14 Senate Democrats fled to Illinois nearly three weeks ago, preventing the chamber from having enough members present to consider Gov. Scott Walker's so-called "budget repair bill" -- a proposal introduced to plug a $137 million budget shortfall..
