German Police Arrest 2 Terrorists in Cologne Airport

German police boarded a KLM plane about to take off for Amsterdam and arrested two terrorist suspects. The police identified the suspects as a 23 year old Somalian and a 24 year old German citizen who was born in Somalia. Police had been survalling the two suspects for 3 months and had found letters in their appartment's which said they wanted to die for jihad.

Could the two terrorist suspects been on their way to Amsterdam to carry out attacks in revenge for the motoon?

Update: Apparently not. A German daily is claiming the terrorists were planning to travel to Pakistan via Amsterdam and Uganda. Reuters


BERLIN (Reuters) - German police boarded a Dutch airliner at Cologne airport on Friday and arrested two men suspected of planning to take part in terrorist attacks, a spokesman said.

The police spokesman identified the suspected Islamist militants, on a KLM aircraft about to take off for Amsterdam, as a 23-year-old Somali and a 24-year-old German born in Somalia's capital Mogadishu.
