Two "Canadians" Killed in Missile Strike in Pakistan

Two "Canadians" of arab origin were reported killed in a missile strike in south Warizistan. The missile strike also killed two Arabs and one Pakistani. Canadian Foreign Affairs officials are currently working with Pakistan to determine the identities of these "Canadians".

Some speculate that these two "Canadians" were part of the al Qaida suicide bomber class full of North Americans and Europeans. Carrying Canadian, European or any Western passport theoritically makes it easier for these "North Americans" and "Europeans" (most likely Arabs just carry Western passports) to infiltrate the US and carry out attacks. Diplomats in Pakistan are investigating a report that two Canadian militants were killed by a possible U.S. missile attack that blew up a house in a remote tribal region of the country.

Canadian Foreign Affairs officials, in conjunction with other agencies, are working with Pakistan to determine the identities of men killed Saturday after villagers said they saw U.S. Predator drones in southern Waziristan.

As many as five suspected militants died in the attack, including two Arabs, Pakistan-based reporters said.

Pakistan's Dawn news service specified that the ranks of the dead included “two Canadians of Arab origin.”
