British muslim stars beg Pakistanis not to attack Britain

If Britain really wanted to prevent Pakistanis or any other muslims from launching attacks against Britain, it should just declare itself an islamic country. It already acts like one.

The campaign is titled "I Am The West" and is funded by the Foreign Office.

It is intended to show to young Pakistanis susceptible to extremist doctrines that there is no contradiction between being British and Muslim, according to reports.

The pilot advert stars Sadiq Khan, the communities minister, Moeen Ali, the young Worcestershire cricketer, and Chaudry Abdul Rashid, the Lord Mayor of Birmingham.

Jehangir Malik of UK-based aid charity Islamic Relief also features in the commercial, which will be shown on Pakistani television channels on Monday. The initial run of nine television screenings, plus radio adverts, is believed to be costing the Foreign Office £400,000.

The campaign was proposed to the Government by a group called Deen International, led by Khurshid Ahmed, chairman of the British Muslim Forum.
