Toronto mosque offers 'detox' for extremists

Mohammed Shaikh, director of the Masjid el Noor mosque in Toronto, has announced a 12 step detox program that is meant to cure muslims of extremism. The first of its kind in Canada, Mohammed Shaikh claims a 12 year old is already taking the program.

The 12 year old's parents were concerned because the youth "speaks very negatively" about a particular group of people. Mohammed Shaikh wouldn't say which group but I'll take a wild guess and say the JOOOOOOOOOS.

The 12 steps include: Allah, the Koran and Mohammad; the connections between Islam, Christianity and Judaism; other faiths; Canadian society; and countering extremism through education, public speaking and writing.

From the first two steps I can see that this program is BS. Anyone who reads the koran and the life of Mohammad know what islam is about. I suspect the muslims that go through this program will be taught to perform Da'wa, the subversion of our institutions in order to implement islamic law. National Post

The Specialized De-radicalization Intervention program is intended to provide "treatment and counselling" to young Muslims sympathetic to the al-Qaeda ideology.
