NEW DELHI: A drug smuggler with alleged links with Pakistan's ISI was arrested by the crime branch of Delhi Police near Welcome Metro station on
Friday afternoon. The accused, identified as Sabir Ali (32), hails from Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh. He was wanted in connection with heroin smuggling and a red corner notice was also issued against him.

Police nabbed Sabir following a tip-off that he was hiding in the city and would come to Welcome locality. During interrogation, Sabir said he had been residing in Lahore for the past two years and came to Delhi only recently, police said. "This time, he entered India via Nepal and was trying to strengthen and reorganize his network in Delhi and other parts of the country," police said.
