Muslim preacher and 4 other muslims arrested in Britain

A muslim imam and 4 other muslims have been arrested, for suspicion of terrorism and inciting a terrorist act overseas, in coordinated raids in Manchester. It is believed that the unnamed imam was shipping young muslims off to madrassases (islamic schools) in Afghanistan where they were trained to kill.

A MUSLIM preacher was last night being quizzed by police on suspicion of recruiting wannabe Brit terrorists.

The 62-year-old was among five men arrested in a series of co-ordinated raids by officers probing terror training camps in Afghanistan.[...]

Detectives are probing allegations young Brits were being shipped off to religious schools in Afghanistan where they were being trained to kill.

A neighbour of the preacher, who was arrested at his home in Deane, near Bolton, said yesterday:
And here comes the obligatory "But he's a good guy. How can he be a terrorist?"
“I’m surprised. He is a lovely, peaceful man who carries out spiritual sessions twice a week. He teaches the Koran and is very spiritual.’’
I think he answered his own question, even if he doesn't realize it.
